Our one-stop portal enables people in financial need to find and apply for multiple sources of support quickly and easily online, in one place - while using innovative technology (e.g. open banking and ID verification) to streamline administration and outreach for organisations which can help.


We’re impact-driven, revenue generating and work with leading partners such as Lambeth Council, the Royal British Legion and TSB. Since our portal launched 2 years ago, we’ve already reached over 100,000 people and facilitated over £10m in funding to individuals in need. We’ve won awards including the Tech Nation Rising Stars 4.0 Diversity & Inclusion Leading the Way Award, been featured in The Guardian and are backed by Techstars, Innovate UK and Nesta.


About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage to make a real impact and to be instrumental in helping us scale within the UK to become the go-to platform for people to seek financial support and partner with c.100+ organisations. This is a remote position and can be part-time or full time. We offer a flexible work environment and this role can fit alongside other responsibilities such as studying or childcare.

Responsibilities

  • Building new partnerships: You will generate new business, managing the entire end-to-end sales process from prospecting to close.

  • Customer engagement: Understand customer needs and demonstrate a deep knowledge of Lightning Reach’s offerings. Ensure customer's interests are continually reflected in our product roadmap and growth plan.

  • Growing us in new sectors: You’ll be driving Lightning Reach’s growth, owning one or more target sectors, becoming the subject matter expert with huge potential for growth

  • Managing a strong pipeline: this is a role with high accountability and ownership, you’ll run a tight ship with exceptional pipeline management to hit your targets.

  • Continuous development: Continual market scanning to monitor trends, help us to stay on top of updates in your sector and bring new ideas to scale up our business

  • Levelling up how we work: You share learnings with other and always look for innovative ways to supercharge what we do

Requirements

  • Experience: Significant experience (3-5 years) in commercial or partnership roles with and a track record of closing new customers and meeting revenue goals

  • Relationship builder: A natural people person who can quickly understand customer needs, build close relationships and establish trust with a wide range of stakeholders 

  • Focused & process-oriented: You have a knack for following and refining processes and making data-driven decisions to achieve maximum results 

  • Team & growth mindset: You are keen to support others, share best practices and work in a team to solve problems whilst being committed to continuous growth. 

  • Adaptable: Comfortable with change and ability to work effectively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.

  • Results & impact driven: You are excited by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the world and thrive on achieving ambitious goals

Nice to have

  • Significant experience selling into one or more of our target sectors (e.g. local government, housing, utilities, grant-making charities).

  • Demonstrable interest in social impact and tech

  • Ability to travel in the UK to attend partner meetings and conferences
